Preserving Traditions & Inspiring the Future…
The NGO «Mirasly Senet» («Heritage Craft») was founded on November 4, 2024, and operates within the city of Ashgabat.
Mirasly Senet is the first NGO in Turkmenistan dedicated to preserving the art and spirit of our rich cultural heritage. We strive to revive traditional crafts by connecting the ancestral skills of our forebears with a sustainable future for the next generation of artisans.
Our Areas of Work:
🔹 Hand Weaving – Reviving unique techniques to create exquisite fabrics.
🔹 Felting – Showcasing the art of felting, deeply rooted in Turkmen nomadic culture.
🔹 Wool & Silk Processing – Using traditional methods to work with natural fibers.
🔹 Revival of Ancient Weaving Techniques – Restoring rare patterns unique to Turkmen history.
🔹 Design & Innovation – Merging traditions with modern aesthetics to remain relevant in the global market.
🔹 Natural Dyeing – Promoting eco-friendly dyeing techniques.
🔹 Creative Space – Establishing a platform for collaboration among artisans, designers, and creatives.
🔹 Global Representation – Showcasing Turkmen craftsmanship on the international stage through exhibitions and partnerships.
