The Aarhus Center in Ashgabat promotes the implementation of the provisions of the Aarhus Convention in Turkmenistan, free public access to environmental information, its participation in environmental decision-making and access to justice on environmental issues.

Information and explanatory, Implementation of the provisions of the Aarhus Convention in national legislation (activities to implement environmental and other legislation in accordance with the provisions of the Aarhus Convention). Consulting activities (Provision of gratuitous consultations on legal issues of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, as well as the implementation of adaptation measures in agriculture and water management, renewable energy, etc.). Scientific and educational (Implementation of analytical, scientific and educational projects on priority areas of environmental protection and environmental management in the context of climate change, increasing the capacity of civil society on these issues.
